Let’s say your company has created a custom build Android app and you need to deploy it to all your sales guys. What are your options? Well, you can upload it to the Android Market but if you are going to do that, it means that everyone can download your private custom app. You wouldn’t want that, would you? So how will you deploy Android apps to all of those devices?

You could have your IT guy get each smartphone and tablet and install it manually – it’ll take him hours upon hours to do it, though, and it wouldn’t be convenient to have staff without their phones for a while. It would pretty much interrupt everybody’s day.

Alternatively, you could ask each of your Android users to go and install the app themselves, but then you’d need to check with each employee as to whether they’d done it and whether the app was running smoothly – that’s only if everyone knew how to do it in the first place.

These aren’t very appealing options. So what can you do? 2X MDM allows you to deploy Android apps directly to individual or groups of devices simultaneously, making it easy to manage Android devices. This avoids a frustrating day for the IT department, doesn’t inconvenience employees and doesn’t affect the work day. It also means there’s no need to upload them to the Android Market.

In the 2X MDM dashboard, you can also review which apps are installed on each device so it won’t take very long to check if everyone has the app installed properly and ready to go.
