This video was sent to me by Shane, a Parallels user who commented on my last post. It’s a short clip of Windows XP loading in about TEN SECONDS! Needless to say, that’s faster than Boot Camp, or if you think about it, just about any real machine you could get your hands on.
It’s pretty amazing. See for yourself here: http://www.godsipod.com/xponmac/
Shane, that’s a very impressive video. If you have any others, send ’em over!
So, it looks like Apple’s users love us so much that they’ve convinced Apple to add us to apple.com’s “System/Disk Utilities” section. This means that directly through the main Apple website, you can learn about (and download) Parallels Workstation for Mac OS X! Screenshot is below:
I couldn’t have put it better myself. 🙂
As I share all of these pictures, I wonder to myself…if I’m this proud of a software product, what will I be like when I have kids? Scary to think about…
I’m excited, what can I say? Take a look at our Mac version’s cool box. Parallels design guys, if you’re reading this, you did seriously awesome work on this one:
If you still haven’t downloaded the beta, perhaps this cool boxshot has convinced you! Get Parallels Workstation for Mac OS X here.
Unless you’ve been living in cave with your eyes closed and your fingers in your ears, you’ve heard by now that Parallels has launched the beta program for Parallels Workstation for Mac OS X! Unlike Apple’s Boot Camp dual-boot solution, our solution lets you run Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, OS/2, eComStation, Solaris or MS-DOS at the same time as OSX, which in my opinion, makes it a much more efficient solution than a pure-dual boot.
Don’t take my word for it. Check out what these guys have to say about us!
There are about 50 other articles circulating now, if that’s not enough for you. 🙂
Got a MacTel? Want to check out what the whole world (literally) is talking about? Get Parallels Workstation 2.1 for Mac OS X now!
Today has been nuts as I am sure you can imagine. I’ll post some of our slicker screenshots and talk more about this tomorrow.
