Great news for developers! Today Microsoft announced that its Visual Studio Dev Essentials, a free program that offers everything developers need to create applications on any device or operating system, will include a three-month subscription to Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro Edition and Parallels Access. This program provides easy access to all the services, tools and resources Microsoft has to offer, as well as several new benefits to help developers get started building apps.

“As part of the new Visual Studio Dev Essentials program, Microsoft and Parallels are providing developers with free three-month subscriptions to Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro Edition and Parallels Access,” said Mitra Azizirad, General Manager, Developer Platform Marketing, Microsoft Corp“Parallels Desktop for Mac integrates as a Visual Studio Plug-in to help developers test applications across operating systems. The Parallels New Virtual Machine Wizard includes free pre-configured Chrome OS, Ubuntu and Android virtual machines, in addition to 10 different free trials of Modern.IE Windows test environments. Parallels Access delivers developers fast, simple and reliable remote access to workstations and files from nearly anywhere.”
