Windows laptops may be tracked via GPS. GPS functionality requires a GPS extension, such as a GPS capable dongle connected and activated on the Windows laptop.

We have purchased 2X MDM and was wondering, if the Geosence windows 7 addon will work with 2X MDM. After all, the laptop will then be “Location Aware?”

      Hi Chris,

      Thank you for your feedback.

This is not a currently tested scenario and it seems Geosense works with network based tracking. The 2X MDM client is built to pick up on GPS based tracking updates. However, please add this as a feature request here for further investigation:

Hi Sean, Any word on this? Sureley the MDM client on windows Laptops can look at the windows provided location? Instead of the GPS location, or if the GPS location is not available? Geosence is free, and is most likeley to be used on staff laptops I believe.
