I am using the app and it’s very good. I need to use the Keys ״shift+arrow down” in my program, To highlight a line. I found the shift and arrows but no action. Can you suggest a solution?
    Thanks

We are using 2X for iPad at ny office to connect to a windows based server and run an Electronic Health Records program, We have bluetooth keyboards from Logitec. Everything works, except the TAB key, which we use frequently. Is there a shortcut to use TAB? Can anyone tell me why that is the only key that doesn’t function on the bluetooth keyboard while in the app?

  • http://www.2x.com Paul Gafa

    Dear Sharon,

At the moment the key combination in question is not supported on our iOS client, however in the next release will have full standard keyboard support.

Our Android client do support this.

    cheers
    Paul

    Dear Krista,

we have tested this issue with three different keyboards (2 Bluetooth Apple keyboards and one Kensington Bluetooth keyboard) and we have ensured that all keys especially the TAB key are working successfully.

We are getting a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard in the coming days so that we can test it out against our 2X Client.

    Cheers,
    Justin

    Dear Paul,

Do you happen to know when this new IOS client will be released?

  • Fatih Akdemir

    Hi,
I couldn’t use the arrow keys on my Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard. Can you explain me how to use it?

    Regards

  • Maico Arts

    @Justin,

We are also using Kensington Model M01147 Keyboards, using client 10.1 on the ipad3. We have problems with the TAB key and Arrow keys.
Thst makes your info not quite accurate…

    Regards,
    Maico Arts

I have dual monitors in the office. When I log in from my iPad, how do I switch between monitors?

  • http://www.2x.com Gino

    Hi Steve,

The IOS client does not support dual monitor I am afraid.

    Cheers,

    Gino

We are just getting set up and seem to have the same problems with the TAB button! We have a Zagg keyboard. This posses a real problem when trying to do anything on an ipad. Any help would be great. Everyone keeps telling us that it works but it doesn’t…

I can’t seem to click and drag with this application. No matter what setting I adjust, it simply does not recognize a click and drag. Any ideas?

Thanks for a great app (easily the best RDP client around) which I readily recommend to clients.

The concern I get back the most from clients is the TAB and DEL keys.
Most Windows programs make use of these for fast data entry / navigation.
Having to switch virtual keyboard to get to these keys is too painful (and turns people off using 2X).

Would you be able to add these options to the configurable actions?

I can see, for example, that three finger swipe left to send TAB and three finger swipe left for Shift-TAB (aka back TAB) would make a lot of sense to most.

    Regards,
    Laz

    Dear Laz,

I assume you mean swipe left and swipe right. I think that is a good feature request and we will add it to our list.

  • Benice

    Hello Paul,

In order to use a Bluetooth keyboard with your iPad, you need to ensure that the on screen keyboard has been selected and is shown. Then you can input the data on your Bluetooth keyboard.

    Thanks

    Benice
